I haven’t done a blog meme since my Animal A Day project those many years ago, but let’s give this a shot!

Inspired by some book pals of mine, I’m going to hop on the WWW Wednesday train, which is a meme run by Taking on a World of Words.

Each week we’re asked three questions –

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

What are you currently reading?

Because I’m a masochist who can’t stay out of school, I joyously (not really) continue to trudge through my 9th edition text of Colander’s Macroeconomics. Party time everyone! A thoroughly sarcastic huzzah to having to read business texts for the next 18 months.

As far as reading-for-fun goes, I’m finishing up Ken Follett’s Edge of Eternity, which has been a… curious journey, albeit with several flaws. Should have that done today or tomorrow just in time to land at 20,000 words for the year!

What did you recently finish reading?

I finished the first of the Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard books, Sword of Summer at about 11:30 last night. Working on a review for later today. It’s got potential.

What do you think you’ll read next?

I’m struggling with this one- so many options! I’m going to pick up The Way of Kings again, because I’ve been neglecting it forever and everyone keeps telling me that Sanderson is pretty awesome while I depressingly and impatiently wait for Martin and Rothfuss to get their projects together.. But other than that…? Probably Chernow’s Alexander Hamilton. Because I’m a glutton for monstrously long books and I’m only at a 115% hype level for seeing Hamilton on Broadway in February. That needs to be at least at 200%.
