WWW Wednesday is a book meme run by Taking on a World of Words.
Each week we’re asked three questions –
- What are you currently reading?
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?
What are you currently reading?
Still working on Infinite Jest, which is a good thing on one hand, because I haven’t given up (and I’ve actually now made it further than ever before woo!). But on the other hand I have to keep mentioning it, which gets redundant? 10 more weeks and 850 pages to go!
I’m also just about done with The Big Short, which I picked up spur of the moment in the midst of my inability to start one of my fiction sequels.
Finally, I did end up rolling a d6, which pushed me to start Children of Dune. I’m a whopping 28 pages in though, and this week is looking busy so I’m not hopeful for a finish before next week.
What did you recently finish reading?
Last week saw a breeze through of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone (Illustrated), which was delightful and nostalgic and very, very pretty.
Also in tangential Harry Potter news, I finished The Color Purple for Emma Watson’s Our Shared Shelf book club.
What do you think you’ll read next?
I am again at a loss. My brain cannot deal with the pile of books I have sitting at my desk. It’s probably a good thing I’m busy all this weekend and then on a mini-vacation next. I doubt I’ll finish much so I won’t have any decisions to make!
That said, I am going to read Mindy Kaling’s Why Not Me? Because I’ve wanted to forever and it fell into my lap.
I’ve seen lots of positive reviews of both of Mindy Kaling’s books. I hope you enjoy this one.
The movie of The Big Short is getting a lot of praise – I hope the book is as good (if not better! Books usually are ;))
Thanks for visiting my WWW post earlier (https://clairehuston.wordpress.com/2016/02/17/www-wednesday-17th-february-2016/) and happy reading!

It’s really gorgeous! I can’t wait for all of the book to get released in that format… though I’ll be waiting for a while haha.

I love the idea of an Our Shared Shelf book club from celebrities, I’ve never heard of Watson’s before. I’m looking forward to your review of Why Not Me?, it’s one of the books I am hoping to read this year 🙂

I really enjoyed it! It was such an interesting read with the dual perspectives and the glimpses into two totally different lives. And holy cow the emotions!
