The Great Book of Lists – Chapter 4.1 – Groceries
What does your grocery list look like?
I very rarely make grocery lists, which is a bad habit I should purge myself of as it results in some terrible snap decisions and forgotten, desperately-needed staples. I’m also in race-training season, which means some dietary changes are important… otherwise those long runs feel absolutely awful.
Anyway, if I were to make a list, based on average at-home eating situations* it would probably look something like this :
Produce
- Oranges
- Bananas
- Tomatoes
- Red Peppers
- Spaghetti Squash
- Onions
Bakery/Dry Goods
- Baguettes
- Apple Oatmeal
- Jasmine Rice
- Waffle Mix
- Pasta
Meat/Deli
- Shaved Turkey
- Italian Sausage
- Roast Beef
- Chicken Breast
Dairy
- Skim Milk
- Greek Yogurt (all the flavors)
- Provolone Cheese
- Swiss Cheese
- About 10 other cheeses
Well, that covers about 90% of what I eat in a normal week.
*I also eat out way more than I should. It’s way too hard to make your own sushi…

I’m rubbish at making shopping lists but I’m with you on the greek yoghurts, the more flavours the better!
