WWW Wednesday is a book meme run by Taking on a World of Words.www

Each week we’re asked three questions –

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

What are you currently reading?

War and Peace is still chugging along… though I’ve gotten a little behind on my schedule. Not horribly so; I should be caught up again by the end of next week. I’m just disappointed because I was doing so well! And then life got in the way…

I’m about halfway through Atomic Accidents by Jim Mahaffey, which is interesting but not the most riveting of subject matter. I’m learning a lot, but it’s a slow process.

Finally, I’ve been listening to Dan Carlin’s Blueprint for Armageddon, which is all about World War I and frequently has imagery that just makes me want to vomit.

What did you recently finish reading?

Literally nothing. I was on vacation for a week and a half and it ended up taking me to some unexpected places, and meeting some unexpected people. I ended up having basically zero reading time, so aside from a few chapters of War and Peace I didn’t complete anything. Failure for sure. But the next three weeks are pretty open so I’m hoping to make progress again. Stupid busy life 😦

What do you think you’ll read next?

J.L. Gribble’s Steel Victory is at the top of my list, as is Wyrd Sisters. I also haven’t read a classic yet this month (shame!) so I’ll either snag something short or just count War and Peace for that challenge, since I’ve read like 300 pages in June. I just haven’t finished it.
