If May was bad… June was worse. Yikes. But I knew it. I knew this would happen. Man I cannot wait for the day that I don’t have to spend half my free time writing 15 page reports about supply chain efficiency. Wooo MBA classes 😦

ShelfStatus

  • Favorite Book of the Month : Because I don’t want to repeat myself, and because I haven’t actually finished War and Peace yet, I’ll go with Wyrd Sisters for this. It was hilarious and I’d give it a solid #2 on my Discworld enjoyment chart (after Mort).
  • Least Favorite Book of the Month : Atomic Accidents. It was interesting, but a tad too technical for my brain. I haven’t finished the review yet, but in short, it wasn’t a bad book by any means, just not my cup of tea.
  • Favorite Highlight : “Only in our dreams are we free. The rest of the time we need wages.” – from Wyrd Sisters
  • Everyone Should Read : The Killing Joke – it’s essential comics reading in my book.
  • Topic That I’m Now Obsessed With : High Fantasy. But that’s more because Game of Thrones ended and I have a void now. I think I’ll finally pick up the next Stormlight Archive book.
  • New (to me) Author I Want to Read More Of : I really liked J.L. Gribble’s Steel Victory, so I’m looking forward to more in that series. I also plan on hitting up more Dan Carlin, cause Hardcore History is amazing.
  • New (to me) Author I Think I’ll Skip From Now On : Probably James Mahaffey, though he’s only written the one book.
  • Looking Forward To Reading : Finishing War & Peace. Getting close…
  • Reading Challenge Status : The Goodreads goal of 52 is complete! For the Pretty Books Challenge I’m using The Killing Joke because it’s considered a classic, ok? I didn’t really add anything new to Read About Where or When are You Reading though. Oh well, 6 more months, right? And finally, I’m just one behind on reviews (Atomic Accidents) but that will be up tomorrow probably.
