I’m rubbish at reading books when they first come out… with a few exceptions.

So what releases am I looking forward to reading in 2017? A lot of comics books and hypotheticals apparently.aconjuringoflight

  1. A Conjuring of Light – V.E. Schwab – The final book in the Shades of Magic trilogy drops in February and I’ll be on that day one.
  2. Saga Volume 7 – Brian K. Vaughn – I’m awful at keeping up with comics issue to issue, but I’m itching for the trade paperback of this galactic adventure story.
  3. Avatar : North and South – Gene Luen Yang – Ok, so technically volume 1 came out already, but the other two parts don’t hit until 2017 so it counts.
  4. Legend of Korra : Turf Wars – Michael DiMartino – The first Korra comics come out in June and it’s been too long.
  5. The Winds of Winter – GRRM – I can dream. Oh I can dream.
  6. Doors of Stone – Patrick Rothfuss – See #5. PLEASE NOW.
  7. Oathbringer – Brandon Sanderson – I still haven’t read the monster that is Words of Radiance but at least book three isn’t out until November?
